GL20 GLASSES

The Polaroid GL20 was the dream of Polaroid's creative director Lady Gaga. I worked with a three-person team to make them a reality. The glasses could take pictures and video from your perspective and instantly show them to the world on two outward-facing screens.

I focused on the temples and UI touch points for the GL20. A turning point was designing a hinge that could flex to fit different face shapes while letting circuits pass through IT. The year was 2011, and no consumer product had ever placed technology on the face––we broke down that wall.
