SNAPCHAT SPECTACLES

Spectacles were launched in 2016 and designed to be the first computing platform that users feel genuinely comfortable wearing on their faces. I led much of this playful camera's early ideation, architecture, and design with a simple mission: to let you take snaps while staying in the moment.

The final eye shape was more toy than tech and refined to stand out rather than blend in like spy glasses.

Designed to provide the most straightforward functionality, Spectacles have no on/off button, and each recording ends by default. Users can trigger a snap and instantly transport back into their moment.

The experience is so simple that anyone can put on the glasses, start snapping, and be worn all day without getting in the way.
